The first step, currently under development, is the creation of a business pre-incubation service, the first stage in the incubation chain. This proposal will establish a 'hub-and-spoke' provision of business pre-incubation in Communities First partneships across Rhondda Cynon Taf. It is built on a strong network between Communities First partneships and support agencies, thereby ensuring a maximisation of resources and the avoidance of duplication. All business models will be supported but there will be an emphasis on social enterprise. The project is seen as a two-year pilot scheme to investigate the value of pre-incubation to the development of businesses in Communities First partneships. The working title of the project is NET@Work – New Enterprise Technologies at Work.
