PRINCE2 Steering Group
Although the pre-incubation network
(currently known as NET@work, but this could change) is being developed
according to PRINCE2 principles and practice, the prescripts and
conventions for setting up and running a PRINCE2 Project Board required
some 'tailoring' to ensure a good 'fit' with the project in hand. In
PRINCE2, 'small is beautiful' when it comes to the number of Project
Board members (usually one person representing each of the roles of
Project Executive, Senior User and Senior Supplier), but finding a
representative to speak for the large number of user and supplier
organisations integral to the successful development of the
pre-incubation network was not possible. As the project couldn't adhere
to this fundamental principle of PRINCE2 in this specific area, it was
decided to call the pre-incubation network's control and management
board the PRINCE2 Steering Group, and its membership details can be
found in the table below.
